Day 4 - Finally in Taita!

After a tiring adventure, we are finally all together again! The 6 hour drive from Nairobi to Taita Hills via Voi was both bumpy and exciting, since we saw a bunch of exotic animals: giraffes, baboons and zebras. The relief was enormous when we arrived at Hebron Lodge and saw the others - now the real adventure could begin!

Now we are sitting in a Cybercafe in Wundayi, a 5 minute walk from Hebron, all wet and moist from the tropic rain. Soon we who arrived yesterday will meet the students in the school we are doing the research with, and we will visit farms and ask them about their lives. We are doing the research in a SWOT model, which means we are asking them about the Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats of living in Taita.

The local people have been really nice to us, all smiley and happy :) Let's just hope that the weather will get better!
